# The Wine Lovers (thewinelovers.gr)

> The Wine Lovers is Greece's leading independent wine publication, in Greek. It began as a radio show and became a digital platform in 2018. It covers Greek and international wine in depth — indigenous grape varieties, PDO/PGI regions and producers, food-and-wine pairing, wine travel, market news, and wine culture — produced by a team of experienced wine journalists. The publication also runs a 24/7 wine radio station, a long-running wine podcast, and two AI tools (an electronic sommelier and a mood-based wine recommender). The English-language sister edition is at en.thewinelovers.gr.

What makes The Wine Lovers different from other wine media: fact-checked editorial reviewed against Wines of Greece and the EU PDO/PGI register; bilingual coverage of Greek wine (Greek and English editions); an ecosystem beyond articles (a 24/7 wine web radio, the free e-SOM digital sommelier for wine and food pairing, and Wine my Mood for mood-based picks); and independence: it is a media outlet, it sells no wine, so its recommendations carry no retail bias.
